Autumn Leaves

This week we have been looking at leaves and how they change in the autumn. We have made different coloured playdough leaves and put them in order from green to brown. We have learnt that leaves make food and that the trees store the food for the winter and don’t need the leaves anymore. This is why they fall off. We have done some observational drawings of leaves and Mrs Newbery was very impressed at how carefully we looked at the leaves. We also had fun leaf bashing outside.
