Badger Class -Summer Term - Week 5
This week we have been finishing off our work on Formentera. The children published their holiday brochures on the Spanish island and they look incredible. We joked that we could definitely sell them to the Spanish tourist board to increase tourism once travel restrictions are lifted! The children have worked so hard on these and shown a real flair for persuasive writing and used an informal tone to engage and interest the reader. Well done Badger Class - I am so proud of you. We then went on to explore Formentera in our art lesson where children worked in groups to create a paper map with 3D elements and some typography skills to denote the areas of the island. The children used a simple material very creatively to show the different human and natural features of the island and all it had to offer visitors.
In P.E., the children have been impressing Mrs. Baker with their cricket skills. From bowling to fielding and batting, the children are working hard to develop their technique. They are also showing some good team work skills and encouraging each other to do their personal best.
Finally, a massive congratulations to our award winners this week:
