Badger Class - Summer Week 4
Another week has flown by! This week Badger Class have been focussing on measure in maths and exploring mass and capacity. The considered the units we measure in including gams, kilograms, millilitres and litres. We also did lots of practical work so the children could experience the scales and different increments in real life and problem solve through exploring. Badger Class did brilliantly and have shown super measuring skills. Some children also looked at the links between fractions and decimals and how we can apply this previous learning to measure and develop further connections within maths and beyond.
We have also started reading our class text 'Wonder' by R J Palacio and the children are using great comprehension skills to explore character feeling and Badger Class have been doing lots of short tasks on navigating texts, retrieving information and using context to help develop their understanding.
