Banham Zoo Trip
Badger Class had a thoroughly enjoyable day out to Banham Zoo earlier in the term.
We began the visit with a workshop to consolidate our knowledge of muscles and skeletons. The children had a fantastic time exploring different vertebrates and invertebrates, including some encounters with live animals! Most of the children were brave enough to stroke the snake and stick insect-well done Badgers!
We then spent the rest of our time exploring the zoo, with a quick pit stop for a picnic lunch. The sloth and penguins were particular favourites of the class.
Some comments from the children included, 'I had a really nice day out!', 'I particularly enjoyed the birds because you don't often get to see them' and 'I learned lots of interesting facts'.
