Diwali

This week we have celebrated Diwali by listening to the story of Rama and Sita, making divas out of clay and making wooden spoon puppets of the story characters. We have also made coconut barfi sweets,  playdough and paper plate rangoli patterns and decorated mehndi hands. We watched a video about how a Hindu family in Leicester celebrate Diwali and ended the week by drawing pictures to show people how Diwali is celebrated.
