Fossils

We have been looking at the work of Mary Anning. We have learnt that she was a female palaeontologist and discovered the fossil of a plesiosaur whilst out walking her dog. We have found out how fossils are made. We handled genuine dinosaur bones, eggshell and poo! We learnt that fossilised dinosaur poo is called coprolite. We made our own fossils out of Plaster of Paris and playdough.
