Frozen Kingdom Writing

Badger Class have been working really hard on their literacy skills over the last two weeks. They have explored some of the adventures of Shackleton and his epic adventure across the Antarctic. The children applied to be part of Shackleton's brave and resilient crew. They then switched roles and wrote a speech as Shackleton to motivate his crew in some of the tougher times. 

Badger Class have also been working on non-chronological reports linked to polar animals and they worked in pairs to research, plan and write their own report. They focussed on keep their writing interesting and informative with technical vocabulary, subheadings and captions.
