Jack and the Beanstalk

We have been looking at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, as an introduction to our topic on ‘Castles’. We have acted out the story using a story sack, have planted bean seeds, measured beanstalks using footprints, found and ordered numbered beans and talked about how Jack felt when he had to sell his cow. We have also used Google Earth to locate Great Britain, Norfolk, Norwich, Wymondham and Spooner Row. We have made our own map of the classroom and used a map of the quiet Garden to locate hidden objects.
