Oak Class Blog - 23rd September 2022

This week, Oak Class have explored place value in Maths and sentence level work linked to the book 'The Nowhere Emporium'. They are really enjoying the drama aspect of English this term and we definitely have some budding thespians in our class. 

Student Leadership

The children in Oak Class embraced the opportunity to become part of the student leadership team.  We were absolutely blown away but the care and attention the children gave to the application process. Congratulations to all the children on their new roles. They will be introduced to the rest of the school and presented with their badges once we return from camp. 

Residential to Thorpe Woodlands

A few reminders about our residential next week:

• The children should come to school as usual on Monday at 8:40am. They should not wear school uniform but instead clothing appropriate for carrying out sporting activities. On arrival at school the children should take their luggage to the hall (your child should be able to carry their own bag as they will be expected to do so at the residential location). They will then go to class as usual, and we shall depart at approx. 9:15am.

• We shall arrive back to Spooner Row on Wednesday at approx. 4:30pm. The office will be updated on any traffic delays. 

• Please make sure all your child's clothes are clearly labelled and also they should know what has been packed and where to find things in their bags. This will mean they can be ready and equipped for the activities quickly.
