Oak Class Blog - 3rd February 2023

This week, Oak Class have continued learning about fractions in Maths, looked at the use of alliteration, adverbials and dialogue in English and started to explore the break with the Catholic Church during the reign of Henry VIII. 

PE and Dance

Year 6 have continued to explore shape and level in their dance unit and this week they used silk material as a prop to create routines with synchronisation and cannoning. They have shown enthusiasm and creativity in their dancing and a growing confidence at performing in front of their peers. 

Oak Class have also carried on their unit on tennis, focusing on the forehand movement and accurately placing the ball. Week on week they have been working hard and improving their tennis skills. 

Shared Writing with Badger Class

This week, the children of Oak Class had the privilege of helping Badger Class to edit and improve their story writing. Badger Class shared their writing with Oak Class and there was some fantastic dialogue between the children to improve their already wonderful writing.
