Friday 7 July 2023 Copy of: Super Sports Day 2023 Badger Class loved sports day and enjoyed a variety of races from three-legged to skipping to round the field. The children showed great sportsmanship and supported each other brilliantly.

Wednesday 28 June 2023 Squirrel Class Sports Day Today was Sports Day and we all had lots of fun. We hope that you enjoyed watching all of our races. It felt good to win but it was our resilience and perseverance that made Mrs Newbery the proudest.

Tuesday 13 June 2023 Capoeira Club Twenty five lucky children have had the opportunity to join our capoeira club. They have all had great fun learning new moves and developing their dance, strength and martial art skills.

Thursday 18 May 2023 Copy of: Badger Class - Terrific Tennis Festival Lots of children from Badger Class enjoyed a tennis festival at Easton College last week. The children completed lots of mini skill based activities that were run by Easton College students. The children worked on different skills including accuracy, coordination and agility. All children represented the school really well and showed great enthusiasm to develop their tennis techniques.

Wednesday 8 March 2023 KS2 Girls Football Match At lunchtime today we held our KS2 football match. The rain poured down but it didn't dampen the girls' enthusiasm. Playing in their house teams, they demonstrated resilience and sportsmanship and would have made the Lionesses proud!

Friday 3 March 2023 Copy of: Girls' Football Tournament A huge well done to all the girls who took part in the football tournament this week. The children attended Goals in Norwich and played against 15 other teams. Mrs Colchester commended the players on their enthusiasm and encouragement of each other and how well they joined in.

Friday 16 December 2022 Super Swimmers A huge well done to Year 6 swimmers as they have shown excellent determination and improvement in their swimming sessions this term. The children have been commended by the swimming instructors for their positive attitude and manners during the sessions. Well done to all children involved for working so hard on such an important life skill.

Friday 9 December 2022 Santa Dash 2022 We all took part in the Santa Dash on Friday afternoon. Who knew that you could have so much run running around the playground!

Friday 9 December 2022 Fox Class active advent Fox class has really enjoyed the active advent challenges this week. We have had an imaginary snowball fight, played Santa says, had a workout with Buddy the Elf and finished the week with a Santa dash! We are looking forward to next weeks fun.

Friday 2 December 2022 Active Advent Day 2 Today, Badger Class enjoyed getting active with Buddy the Elf! We followed along to the exercise routine and had lots of fun!

Thursday 1 December 2022 Badger Class - Active Advent Begins! This year, the whole school is taking part in 'Active Advent' where we participate in a festive themed physical activity each day until the end of term. This includes a whole school Santa Dash on 9th December (this is also Christmas jumper day) and children can wear a Santa hat or festive headgear as well.

Sunday 6 November 2022 Cross Country Competition - Badger Class A huge congratulations to the children from Badger Class who took part in the cross-country competition this week as part of the school games programme. For some children this was their first experience of running competitively and they all did brilliantly well and had a great time.

Wednesday 29 June 2022 Sports Day Today was Sports Day and it was great to have our parents there to watch. We competed in our houses and everyone took part in at least two races. A huge thank you to the sports leaders and house captains who helped organise the events and supported the younger children.

Wednesday 29 June 2022 Opening Ceremony We started Sports Day with a Commonwealth themed opening ceremony. Each house represented a Commonwealth Country and each year group researched different facts about that country.

Friday 17 June 2022 Fox: Cricket at Kenninghall Last week some of Fox Class went to Kenninghall School to play a game of Cricket. It was a rather warm day but everyone tried their best and had lots of fun. I am very proud of how the children conducted themselves. (And we won too!) Well Done Foxes.

Friday 10 June 2022 Chance to Shine Cricket Coaching During the Summer Term, children in years one to six received cricket coaching through Chance to Shine (national cricket charity). They learned how to bowl, bat and field. The older children were provided with match practise ahead of their Dynamos Cricket competition.

Wednesday 25 May 2022 Active Kids Event On Wednesday 25th May, Mrs Newbery and Mrs Baker took ten less confident children to an Active Kids Engage event. The children took part in a range of non-competitive activities. They had a great time and it was lovely to hear them saying how much fun they were having and seeing them taking the lead and helping each other. You were a delight to take and a credit to the school.

Monday 16 May 2022 YEAR 4 TENNIS FESTIVAL Year 4 had a fantastic morning at Easton College enjoying some tennis themed activities run by Year 9pupils from Old Buckenham High School. The activities aimed to help improve the children's hand-eye coordination, agility, aim and ball control as well as being lots of fun!

Monday 16 May 2022 Quad Kids Athletics Event On Monday 25th April, a team from our school went to the UEA to enter the Quad Kids competition. The events were a 400m run, a vortex throw, standing long jump and 50m sprint. Our team had 10 children from Year 3 and 4 on it - 5 boys and 5 girls - and we were competing against 8 other teams from different schools.

Monday 14 March 2022 Lunchtime Activities Mrs Sheran and the Year 6 Sports Leaders have been helping a group of children each week to develop their fundamental movement skills. The children have been practising different ways of moving, balancing, ball skills and agility.

Wednesday 10 November 2021 Cross Country Achievements A huge congratulations to our cross country team who attended the South Norfolk Cross Country Event last week. There were some fantastic individual performances and the whole team were brilliant. A special mention to Albie who came second is his race and William who came 7th in his.
