Quad Kids Athletic Competition

It was a pleasure to support Albie, Rose, Chris, Lola, Oli, Georgina, William, Lara, Sonny and Nellie from Badger Class attend the Quad Kids athletic event at the UEA this week. The children had to compete in four different events - 400m run, 50m sprint, standing long jump and vortex throw. All the children had different levels of experience and for many of them this was their first athletics competition. They supported and encouraged each other brilliantly. 

Some highlights from the day were a huge 2m long jump from William, lots of great technique on the vortex throws, a very speedy sprint and an amazing team atmosphere. 

Lola won a special award for showing great determination on the 400m run where she mustered her last little bit of energy to put in a sprint finish! 

Spooner Row competed brilliantly across all the events and came 1st out of a field of ten schools. A huge congratulations to our athletes - well done for having such fun!
