Science Week 2021
We have had a fantastic last week of term as it was science week. Throughout the week, Oak class have been working on lots of science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and MAthematics) challenges. I have been very impressed at their innovation and team work. They had a go at the following challenges:
- Investigating seed dispersal by making own helicopters and measuring the distance they travel
- Can you fit through an A5 piece of paper? Children used only a pair of scissors to alter a piece of paper so that they could fit through it.
- Make a free-standing structure one of you can fit under using only newspaper and tape
- Design and make a balloon powered moon buggy
Oak class have also been working on PSHE posters for the last few weeks about protecting our planet and this week they presented their poster to the rest of the class
To finish off a busy week, we were lucky enough to have a visit from the Easter bunny who hid some treats around the playground for the children to find.
Have a great Easter break Oak Class!
