Badgers have had a fascinating fortnight learning all about the human body in our current science topic.

In week 1, we learned all about teeth: their different names, functions and how to look after them. We conducted an experiment to prove the harmful impact sugar has on teeth by using eggshells, which are a similar material to the enamel in teeth. We placed them in coca cola for a week and then compared the results to eggshells placed in water. The pictures speak volumes!

Then we learned all about the digestion system and the roles different organs play in digesting food. The children had lots of fun taking part in a practical activity to mimic the journey of food through our body...and out again!
