Spring Term - Week 10
We have had great fun celebrating St Patrick's Day this week. The class decorated some bunting for the classroom and made their own Irish soda bread. We also had a go at some Irish dancing and to celebrate the day, Oak class came into school wearing something Green. It was a great effort from Oak class and we had a lovely day.
At the end of last week, Oak class showed great determination and resilience with creating some lovely paper woven baskets. They proved to be more difficult than anticipated but it was lovely to see Oak class all work together to help each other.
.
In maths we have been learning about percentages and today we turned the classroom into a shop with some fabulous discounts. Children worked their way around each child's shop to work out the new product price when given a percentage or fraction off deal!
Congratulations to the children who earned awards in our celebration assembly today:
Head teacher's award - Stanley and Santi
Sport Star - Tilly
Reading Star - Megan
Hand writing award - Santi and Adelaide
