Super Science Week in Badger Class
Badger Class had a brilliant week during British Science Week with a focus on the theme of 'Growth'. We investigated how much we could make slime grow by mixing the consistency to make it the stretchiest it could be! I think the faces of the children show how much they enjoyed this investigation!
We also looked at how water travels through paper by creatine blooming paper flowers and the children took part in a live 'British Science Week' lesson where they saw a calf and lamb being born and discussed growth as part of life cycles.
The children also presented their work from the week during a special Science Assembly where our scientists of the week were awarded a certificate for their commitment and engagement. Congratulations to Drew, Jenson, Isaac and Sonali.
One of the final challenges was a competition between the classes to see who can grow the tallest flower from a bulb. Badger Class named their bulb 'Gerald' and, although we have lots of flowers at the moment, we haven't got the tallest stem. So fingers crossed that Gerald has growth spurt before the winner is announced at Easter! We'll keep you updated on the exciting developments!
