What a soup-er morning!
Badger Class completed some fantastic work for Design Technology this morning. After lots of work researching different types of soups and developing a mood board for healthy autumnal vegetable soups, they decided on two soup recipes to try.
1. Hearty chickpea and pasta soup
2. Creamy tomato soup
The children used excellent cutting techniques with the claw grip to work safely and thought about how to be hygienic in their food preparation. The children really enjoyed making the different soups and comparing the blended soup with the broth style soup. Most of all, they enjoyed taste testing the soups but they did have some ideas for how to modify and adapt their soups including cutting the carrot smaller, having bread to make it more filling and making it thinner and smoother.
It was a pleasure to see the children enjoying their food technology work and creating such healthy and delicious products.
Here are the recipes as requested by the children just in case anyone wants to cook them again at home!
