Spooner Row Primary School Admissions Arrangements

Spooner Row Admissions Procedure

The School adheres to Norfolk County Council’s Admissions Policy

www.norfolk.gov.uk

Primary schools cater for boys and girls aged from 4 to 11 years.  Children will be admitted on a full-time basis in the academic year in which they become five. All admissions are dealt with directly through the Local Education Authority – 0344 800 8001 or email admissions@norfolk.gov.uk

At the present time, the school’s Predicted Admission Number (PAN) is 15 (agreed March 2017).  In the event of oversubscription, children will be admitted from these set criteria in the following order of preference:

Children with a statement of special educational needs/EHCP naming this school
Children in public care who are due to start school
Children who are due to start school, living in the area served by the school who have a brother or sister attending the school at the time of their admission
Children who are due to start school, living in the area served by the school with no brother or sister at that school
Children who are due to start school, living outside the area served by the school who have a brother or sister attending the school at the time of their admission
Children who are due to start school, living outside the area served by the school who have no sister or brother at that school

At the age of 11 children normally transfer to Wymondham College or Wymondham High School; Spooner Row Primary School is an active member of the Wymondham Cluster of Schools and a part of the ieTrust.

The Admission Arrangements and PAN will be regularly monitored and reviewed by the head teacher and Local Governing Body.
